Chaka Khan
Chaka Khan is an American music producer and singer. She is also referred to by her nickname of the Queen of Funk. Her career has been spanning more than five decades, she's been awarded a total of 10 Grammys. Billboard Magazine has ranked her as the 65th most successful dance artist of all time. The grandmother who introduced her to jazz while she was young. The beginning years of her career she played with a variety groups. She later joined a band named Rufus. When she was twenty she recorded her debut album, along with the group. A year later the group was awarded their very first Grammy. A few years later, she recorded her first album as an artist on her own. Over the years she issued a series of albums, such as "Echoes Of An Era," The Woman I am as well as Funk This. As well as her musical contribution, her charity work has earned her plenty of attention. Chaka Khan Foundation, which she founded to aid individuals and children with Autism along with families that are struggling. Khan is also an actor on occasions. She appeared as Sister Carrie in the musical 'Mama, I Want to Sing.'
